Good Morning Friends,
I’ve written before about walking with God. God never changes, but I do, and the seasons in which He meets me change too. This morning, in the quiet before sunrise, I’m reminded that walking in God’s light reveals more than we ever knew to ask. We don’t need to wait for Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, or even Sunday. We can begin the walk now. We find that following Jesus doesn’t remove life’s difficulties, but it gives us unshakable joy, supernatural peace, and a holy mindset that pleases God. I feel this as I walk the beach and parks with my wife, children and grandchildren and as I read Scripture, and as I bring my concerns to Jesus in prayer. He meets me on the journey. So I ask: Are you walking the path of righteousness with God?

Message: Walking is one of the healthiest physical exercises, but Scripture speaks of a deeper walk: the way we live before God. This spiritual walk depends not on our strength but on the leadership and power of the Holy Spirit. Walking with God makes life better because we walk in His power, not ahead of Him or away from Him. Isaiah saw that God’s commands were meant to guide Israel on a righteous path, yet they often rebelled, choosing gods who entertained rather than transformed. Isaiah compares their rebellion to the agony of childbirth that produces nothing. It is pain without fruit. Jesus offers the opposite: an easy yoke, a light burden, and a healthy way to live.
And So, we have a choice. The better one is intimate fellowship with a God we trust. Jesus’ yoke means work with growth, unity, and evangelization, but it is work done with Him, not for Him. Enoch shows us what this looks like: a life that pleased God because it was lived in step with Him. In Christ our burdens lift. His light guides our path. His love strengthens our walk.
Pray we walk the straight path of righteousness. Pray we live fully in Christ. Pray we exercise faith. Pray we trust God’s leading even when the way is unclear. Pray we leave the details of the journey in His hands. Pray we grow in the Holy Spirit. Pray we delight in Scripture. Pray our character is transformed from within. Pray we become spiritually fruitful and durable. Pray we choose the destiny God intends. Pray we walk in love with God and one another. Pray we stand firm when the path grows rocky. Pray we find joy in a healthy walk with God.
Blessings,
John Lawson
