Can You Imagine the Lord Dreaming Beyond Time And Space, Healing Us In Mind And Heart Now?

Good Morning Friends,

There are moments in life that change everything. Isaiah knew this well, and I imagine he would be astonished at the world we inhabit today. Yet his vision of a new heaven and new earth still speaks: God is dreaming beyond time and space, preparing a re‑creation more marvelous than anything we have known. We are more vulnerable than we admit, but God’s hope for a world without sin is compelling. I believe God’s love is already shaping us—helping us remember what heals and forget what harms. Can you imagine the Lord dreaming beyond time and space, healing us in mind and heart now?

Scripture Summaries

John 4:43–54 — Jesus Heals the Official’s Son

Jesus returns to Galilee, where a royal official begs Him to heal his dying son. Jesus speaks a word of life—“Your son will live”—and the man believes before seeing the miracle. When he learns the healing happened at the exact hour Jesus spoke, he and his whole household believe. This is Jesus’ second sign in Galilee, revealing His life‑giving authority.

Isaiah 65:17–21 — God Promises a New Creation

God declares the coming of new heavens and a new earth where sorrow, injustice, and premature death are no more. Jerusalem will be a place of joy, stability, and flourishing. God delights in a renewed people living in peace and abundance.

Psalm 30:2–13 — God Turns Mourning into Joy

The psalmist remembers crying out to God and being healed and restored. Though sorrow lasts for a night, God’s favor brings joy in the morning. God transforms mourning into dancing and clothes the faithful with joy so they may give thanks forever.

Message: Jesus’ reminder that a prophet is not honored in his own country can feel discouraging, but it reveals something essential: unbelief often grows from familiarity and habit. What needs to change in us is not simply our opinions but our daily patterns—those habits that either open us to God’s love or close us off from it. In John’s Gospel, intercessory prayer becomes a doorway to transformation. We need one another to overcome the limits of daily life, and Jesus uses even our ordinary routines for good when they are offered in love. His redemption is not bound by geography, culture, or time. It is the divine dream breaking into our world. Faith is the courage to let God change us. It is the anticipation of love that reshapes our hearts. This renewal is like waking from sleep into a larger reality—God’s reality—where joy expands and time itself feels different because it is filled with God’s presence.

And So, Jesus offers an alternative to the tired dualism of good and evil. He invites us into a reconciled life where our habits become witnesses to God’s love. Isaiah calls this the new heavens and new earth. Revelation echoes the same promise. It is the life God longs to give to us now.

Pray that joy in us becomes a witness to God’s renewing love. Pray for new hearts and minds shaped by the Lord. Pray that God rejoices over us and transforms us. Pray for courage to believe Jesus can heal, feed, and embrace us. Pray to see His signs and wonders in the faces of those who help us believe. Pray to welcome God’s perfect timing with gratitude.

Blessings,

John Lawson
