What Is God Doing In Your Life Right Now?

Good Morning Friends,

Each moment we have a choice of what we will do. Sure there are some limits but the most important choice of either choosing God or rejecting God is always available to us. So, supposing you have chosen to believe the next question could be what do you want God to do in your life? Maybe you have not even asked? But perhaps God has set a new direction and a new purpose in your life and is just waiting to reveal it to you. So are you going to allow God to quench your thirst? Are you going to allow God to create in you a new heart?  Are you ready for God to surprise you? You can perceive it, can’t you? It is the Jesus Way… He has created a path for your life. So, What Is God Doing In Your Life Right Now?

Scripture: Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, who brings out chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick: Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:16-19 (NRSV)

The Lord said to Moses, “Go on ahead of the people, and take some of the elders of Israel with you; take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will be standing there in front of you on the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink.” Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel. He called the place Massah and Meribah, because the Israelites quarreled and tested the Lord, saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Exodus 17:5-7 (NRSV)

“So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.

Luke 11:9 (NRSV)

Message: Isaiah, in today’s scripture, was writing to the children of Israel while they were in a bleak period of their history. They were in captivity and God wanted to give them a new legacy. He wanted to motivate them to seek a new interest in the things of God… to free them for a new vision. Isaiah realized that the past could not fuel this future. The focus had to change. Israel had to stop looking behind, and start looking ahead. It was a time like Moses and the story of the Lord giving water from a rock. People wanted to know if God was with them. It was a time of testing… a time of complaining that is forever linked to a solution in Christ, the rock that gives living water. The challenges in life are linked to a spiritual solution. It is Christ who makes a way in the desert for Israel and who in and through you and me is able to do something new… leading us on a new path…leading us to an open door. But first we need to ask.

Pray we seek to walk a new path from confession to confidence and from faith to forgiveness. Pray we realize that the Jesus Way is the path to an open door of unconditional love… a path where God comes bringing a truckload of blessings. Pray if we have gotten off the path we get back on. Pray that we realize that God can do and will do something wonderful in our lives right now if we but ask. Pray we realize we do not have to force God.
Pray that Jesus would join us in our prayers and that His presence would be the prelude to peace, the prologue to power, the preface to purpose and the pathway to perfection. Pray we pass the test. Pray we ask with joy. Pray we receive. Pray we search with confidence. Pray we find rejoicing. Pray we knock with persistence. Pray we walk through the open door remembering why we have chosen to believe. Pray we follow Jesus’ lead to an experience of God.

Blessings,
