Do You Feel Beloved?

Do You Feel Beloved?

Good Morning Friends,

All of you who pray with persistence and sincerity…every one of you are beloved children of God. You are a product of the love of the God of the Universe and He loves you and is not going to give up on you. He longs to hold you up to His cheek in a loving embrace. He is not going to destroy you or abandon you. You have been adopted by God but also created by God in His image to receive love and to pass it on to others. So, Do You Feel Beloved?

Scripture: At the beginning of your supplications a word went out, and I have come to declare it, for you are greatly beloved. So consider the word and understand the vision:

Daniel 9:23 (NRSV)

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the entire earth, to strengthen those whose heart is true to him.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NRSV)

And he said to them, ‘Suppose one of you has a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say to him, “Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; for a friend of mine has arrived, and I have nothing to set before him.” And he answers from within, “Do not bother me; the door has already been locked, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.” I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, at least because of his persistence he will get up and give him whatever he needs. ‘So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for a fish, will give a snake instead of a fish? Or if the child asks for an egg, will give a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!’

Luke 11:5–13 (NRSV)

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

John 3:16 (NRSV)

I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.

Song of Solomon 7:10

Message: Beloved is a term of endearment. It is hard to imagine any word from God more welcome than this blessing on us. For here we realize God’s favor to us is manifested by our union with Christ. In receiving this love we begin to make sense of all our circumstances. Here God orients us to the events in our lives and guides us in a way the media, public opinion and political leaders fail to do. Friends, if you are genuinely seeking God’s answers, go to your Heavenly Father in prayer and He will respond. He did it for Daniel and will do it for you as well.

Pray we believe we are the beloved of God. Pray
we know the beloved Son of God. Pray that we see ourselves and others as people beloved by God. Pray that this Spirit form a beloved community of people with whom the mission of Jesus is being lived out. Pray we realize that there is nothing to prove. Pray we experience the fruits of this experience. Pray we encourage others to consider God’s love as their own. Pray we surrender ourselves to the unconditional love of Jesus. Pray we experience the more excellent way of love. Pray we live in the certain knowledge that God is our Loving Father and that we are His beloved! Pray that wonderful knowledge be the foundation of our lives. Pray we be together in Christ, that His name be glorified in us and through us meeting our needs and the needs of others.

Blessings,

John Lawson
