Humility in Worship and Work Matter
Good Morning Friends,
Sometimes the best athletes do not win games because the team does not have the right chemistry and engineering. So too I think most church efforts at ministry spend too little attention considering the chemistry of success and the work of properly engineering the quality of community outcomes. Here chemistry and humility become important in bringing a unified action. Oh what amazing things could be done if pastors would be more committed to each other in a Spirit of humble unity. You see our job as Christians is to do good community work as well as help support meaningful worship. We are to allow Jesus to connect our hearing and doing of the Word in this regard. We are to be missional. There is conflict and a challenge. But also here at the heart of the matter humility has the power to build a community like none other. Humility allows for great chemistry to occur and Jesus is the great Chemist. Humility allows for supernatural engineering and Jesus is the great Engineer. You see Jesus has set in motion a formula that builds the kind of community that makes a kingdom. Friends, when it comes to the future of the Church both Humility in Worship and Work Matter.

Scripture: their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:13 (NIV)
Matthew 16:23 (NRSV) ‘If another member of the church sins against you, Matthew 18:15-20 (NRSV) Message: This day we take a look at faith and works and its quality and order for the person who professes to be Christian. Today we become problem solvers motivated by a Spirit of love not fear and find that salvation led by knowledge only takes us so far and part of the problem is how our heart is engineered into the solution. Here we hope to connect clear thinking about both work and worship with our heart leading and our devil thinking getting behind us. Here we deal with conflict while walking in love. The challenge is that on the journey the devil thinking in us lies to us about the benefits of each. Some kinds of sin even warms the heart. But where is the power of Christ’s strength in that. Friends boast not of your knowledge but only of your encounter with Christ and the cross. That is the chemistry that changes the game. People will cast doubt about a kingdom reality and the good fruits it can produce. But know this, in the humble community of child-like faith is the supernatural power of heaven to bind and to loosen here on earth. Sins are forgiven. People are set free. Life is won or lost here. So claim the Jesus Way so it might rule over all our life for the devil and his lies do not have power over that. Know in your heart that we do not become great by doing things our own way. Know we do not become great by exalting ourselves. Know we do not become great by condemning others. The key is to find great power in a community of believers who do not consider greatness something to be achieved. If we love one another like a bunch of kids on a journey to see our Father, we will see him connecting His story into our story. And it’s not a race. It’s a journey we are on together. So submit yourself to the family of believers and experience the joy and wonder of a supernatural community. That is how we win hearts. That is how we win minds. That is how we win lives. That is how God builds a community of love. Pray we approach conflict with a humble heart. Pray when we face conflict that
