A New Way
Good Morning Friends,
I updated my I-phone to a new operating system and well it had a few bugs. The real problem was that my carrier for one of my emails that I had from the start was working on a platform that did not support the technology. Initially I was pissed. I could receive prayer requests but not send out replies. But then I submitted to the brains of my children and wife and a little old fashioned prayer to help me embrace A New Way.
Scripture: For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
James 1:20 (ESV)
The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned he will be forgiven.
James 5:15 (NIV)
Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild animals will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise.
Isaiah 43:18-21 (NRSV)
Message: I do hope you have gained the ability to think clearly and to embrace change in a healthy way. Oh it is not easy. Most of the time we are not in control and when we are well…the results are not always what we had desired. Friends, to be an agent of change and not a victim of it we need to grow in knowledge and grow in grace.
Pray for the new things God wants to do in your life. Pray we realize that God is a God of fresh starts. Pray we realize that God can use technology to expand our prayer chains but does not need them to change our hearts. Pray we have clarity of thought to grow healthy on the way.
Blessings,
John Lawson
