Doing Then Deciding…Sowing and Soaring.
Good Morning Friends,
Much of life and our journey with people in community is not connected to the right process. Not only do we have the wrong metrics, we have things out of order. We forget that we might reap what others have sown. We are told by the world we are to decide to do something before we do it as if it all depends on us.
It all sounds so reasonable, but if you think this through you might remember Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden because they decided to do something outside of the will of God. Friends, if one is focused on God the proper order for getting to know God even more is in testing then discerning…in Doing Then Deciding…Sowing and Soaring.
Scripture:Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 (ESV)
So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
Galatians 6:9-10 (NRSV)
Message: The proper process is about letting God change us as we join in the will of the Creator. Do not be deceived. God knows exactly what is going on in your mind. Still God wants us to prosper. God wants us to be healthy. God wants us to trust that each of our unique talents will be lifted up in the spirit and emotions of the Sustainer’s will. That is why we are to sow. In sowing, we reap. And we reap more than we sow. Friends we are to think about those things God says we should do. We are to focus on the positive not the negative. We are to focus on God. We are to change our thoughts about the way things work. Friends, if you want to soar with eagles you have to take off. This is about action….lift off before landing…it is about connecting our doing, our sowing, and our giving to our being in Christ. Now let me tell you who you are. You are hand made by God. You are boldly unique, wonderfully blessed, more talented and valuable than you can imagine. God has made you to be victorious and successful. So get rid of all the excuses. God has set a path before you. Move forward. Take flight. Live in the full strength of God and be transformed. Only by testing can you discern God’s will.
Pray we let go of small thinking. Pray we get rid of our wrong programming. Pray we stop limiting God. Pray we open up our life to the dreams and fullness of God’s blessings. Pray to the glory of God that we see our potential realized. Pray we reap good from God in like manner to what we have sown. Pray we never grown tired of giving. Pray we never stand on the edge of a miracle but soar into it knowing that in God’s will the harvest is plentiful.
